2014

The First Kitchen Opens

Maria Santos opens a modest 10-seat cafe on Hamner Ave, Eastvale. The menu features just eight items — all made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests line up from the first day, and cafe rio is born.

2016

Best New Restaurant Award

Just two years in, Cafe Rio receives the Eastvale Community Choice Award for Best New Restaurant. The recognition fuels expansion plans and brings Chef James Rivera on board as Head Chef.

2018

Full Dining Room Expansion

Cafe Rio triples its seating capacity and introduces the catering division. Our caferio catering services quickly become the go-to choice for corporate events and private celebrations across United States.

2020

Community Through Adversity

During a challenging period, Cafe Rio pivots to delivery and takeaway, serving over 5,000 complimentary meals to frontline workers in the local community. This becomes a defining moment in our story.

2022

Sustainability Pledge Launched
